Home Sweet Home

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Its time to bring out the champers because exams are over!!! *grin* And yes, I have been going out and catching up on all the things I have missed out on, namely:-

1. Sleep&laundry. (yes- boring but heck, Maria doesn’t wash my clothes ok)

2. Yumcha sessions and movies with mates.

3. Shopping with the gals at DFO Essendon. *cK pjs for $20*

4. Cruising down Great Ocean Rd on a sunny Sunday afternoon in a convoy. Car convoys brings back great memories of illegal drag races 2 years back :P

5. Hanging out with my 98% man..haha..you know who you are. Thank you baobei.

All this before I head on back home again. The KL plan:-

1. Tennis and jog around TTDI park.

2. Eat chau lala, KL hokkien mee, pan meen and indian sotong at Kanna Curry House.

3. Catching up with friends and all the updates I’ve missed out on.

4. Letting someone else do my laundry for a change. *hehe* Hunt for my pirated DVds.

5. Visit grandpa in Ipoh- more fantastic food awaits my gluttonous arrival.

Stressings.com!

Well, nothing really much happening here at the moment other than studying and revising for exams. Tis the season to be stressing, not jolly. Am totally jaded with uni life, and wished that I had those damn degrees in the pocket and free myself from the shackles of expectations and academia. Its been waaaaay too long honeys..!

If I had a choice again, I wouldn’t have done law.  *Nuh Uh*  I have this sinking feeling in my heart that I don’t belong in the elite law school fraternity.  However, doing a degree/degrees which I wanted would have never pleased my demanding parents..little say I had in the matter. *shrug*

I remember finishing my tertiary entrance exams and telling dad what I wanted to do- maybe a degree in journalism- and my dad’s response: "do you really want to take the Pudu Bus to work everyday at the Malay Mail??" Okayyyy..

Then I remembered telling my mom I also wanted to consider doing a degree in Arts, majoring in English- and her response: " So you’re going to work at some local college and take the Pudu bus to work issit?" That Pudu bus comment must be from some kind of Parenting 101 book : How To Crush Your Offsprings Dreams! Ruthlessly!!  Bob_omb__by_eytu

I mean, I know that they only want the best for me and want me to pursue a career as a professional- in hopes that I’d be able to provide for my family the same way they have. *more pressure* What about dreams though? What about doing something you love? Do I sacrifice all that for a big home, nice cars, private school education? Well for now, those dreams sit relegated on the back shelf while I prepare for exams. *sigh*
